The feast of Pentecost came nine days after Jesus had ascended into Heaven. The disciples and Mary were praying together when the Holy Spirit suddenly came with the sound of a huge wind and what looked like flames of fire coming down on each of them. The apostles went right out and began to preach and teach people about Jesus.

The Holy Spirit comes to us in Baptism and lives in us whenever our souls are in a state of grace (when we don’t have serious sins). He comes into us more whenever we receive a Sacrament, especially Confirmation. He helps us do what is right and serve God using all the gifts He gives us. The Holy Spirit, who is the third Person of the Blessed Trinity, draws us closer to God the Father and Jesus.

Pray to the Holy Spirit every day to help you to do everything for God. Then see how your life changes!
